Janice & Anthony's wedding - St Patrick's Church, Dumbarton & 29 Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow - part four

The light was stunning, the environment was stunning, and the bride of course, ultra stunning!
In the Network Bar, Janice had organised a string quartet to play special songs for the groom on their arrival.

29 excels on all parts; the venue is one of the classiest I have ever had the pleasure to photograph in.And Janice's detail to attention was fantastic, again the Jo Malone theme came out in droves.

The cake was so pretty and again tied in with the theme. It was a lovely personal touch to have old family wedding photographs at the front of the cake! Here's a shot for the next wedding!

Janice & Anthony's wedding - St Patrick's Church, Dumbarton & 29 Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow - part three

After a beautiful ceremony, they walked down the aisle
to a flurry of confetti outside the church!
After a couple of quick shots in the church, it was into the car and onto the centre of Glasgow, and my favourite part of the day, the couples session. It was fun to have so much attention!

We were so lucky with the weather, this WAS October after all!

Janice & Anthony's wedding - St Patrick's Church, Dumbarton & 29 Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow - part two

Janice had some beautiful ladies to look after her on the day.
And soon it was time for the gorgeous gal to find her man at the top of the aisle.
Her Caroline Castigliano dress was stunning.

St Patricks in Dumbarton was a stunning venue.

Janice & Anthony's wedding - St Patrick's Church, Dumbarton & 29 Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow - part one

I've been such a bad blogger as of late; "Blast Off" has been SO busy for Christmas and now the sessions are dying down a little it is time to catch up!

Janice and Anthony was one wedding I was looking forward to, and I owe them a lot! My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary this past August, and we were looking for a fantastic venue in Glasgow city centre for our party. When Janice booked me for her wedding in October, her venue 29, sounded interesting..... One visit and I was hooked! We had a fantastic time in August, and I arrived back at 29 in October for another brilliant wedding celebration!

To begin with, I started off in Dumbarton at the church on a cold, cold day. The wedding was set around the theme of Jo Malone.
The couple's young son Liam was so funny and so cute on the day!

But the main man of the day Anthony was no bad looking either!
Liam was so keen to see his mum arrive....

Soon her girls arrived, in stunning black and white, carrying on the fantastic theme.

Lynne & Mark's "Back Again" session - part one

When I first thought of doing "Back Again" sessions, I thought they would be most popular with my own brides; the chance to get back into your wedding dress, for some relaxed, informal, fun and fashionable portraiture; the chance to do funky things that you might not have done on your wedding day.

It's been unfortunate that the last 2 "Back Again" sessions I have shot have been for brides who were unhappy with their own wedding photography with other photographers, and were willing to pay for me to do a shoot for them, with photos that they are more happy with than their own wedding day imagery!

Lynne and Mark were one such couple, though I don't think Lynne needed any excuse in getting back into her dress!! Lynne found out about me through a wedding forum but unfortunately I had been booked for 2 years in advance for her wedding date by someone else!

The weather on the day of the shoot wasn't looking too hot, in fact it was down right freezing!!

So we started off in the studio, with some gorgeous portraits.

Lynne had gone to the expense of getting her hair and makeup done again, and Mark had even gone all out for his hire kilt suit, so it was an amazing session!
These kind of sessions also give me the chance to do some different types of lighting.

More tomorrow!

Sheryll & Andy's wedding - St Monan's Kirk & The Old Course Hotel, St Andrews - part six

After the meal, it was mingling in the Conservatory with the evening and day guests. This young lad had us all in hysterics with his bum shuffling!
And I thoroughly enjoyed meeting this lovely lady in the run up to the wedding; this is the bride's gran and she was very kind to show me around the lovely Kirk before the wedding.
And then it was onto the first dance....

The receiving line into the Ballroom...... There is that amazing small and dainty waist again.... A beautiful Maggie Sottero dress.
The speeches were heartfelt and funny.

Sheryll & Andy's wedding - St Monan's Kirk & The Old Course Hotel, St Andrews - part four

I adore this photo; beautiful bride, long veil, dramatic skies...... my ideal....
The observant amongst you will notice the following image might appeal to the bride's parents; the very first image of this wedding on the blog, of the dresses hanging in the brides parents' house has a painting of this scene with golfers..... I decided to recreate the scene with the newlyweds....
It was getting pretty windy on the Swilken Bridge! But still the newlyweds turn on the glamour for the camera...... amazing!
Then it was time to join the guests at the Road Hole Bar in the wonderful Old Course Hotel. The quality of this hotel is second to none, I love shooting here.
