Kind words.... {blush}

Wow, that was a bit of a mental weekend..... I am bush-whacked..... Don't think I am totally over this flu bug, and my sinuses are giving me SUCH grief!! Oh well, next 2 weekends off!! Woo HOO!!

I have been getting lots of kind words in emails recently; I am so happy that my clients love the work I am providing for them.

From the new Mrs Wild, on arrival at their 2nd port of call on honeymoon, not having seen any images except those on the blog!

"I just wanted to email you to Thank you for such a fantastic day. You were absolutely brilliant, and i'm so impressed with the photos i've seen already I cant wait to see the rest of them - i cant imagine it being easy asking you to leave any of the photos out!! You did a wonderful job on the day, got chris and i away from people for a while which i think was the only time we spent together properly on the day, you blended in a lot of the time and we didnt even notice you were there. I am so incredibly impressed by your service and now couldnt even dream that we may have ever used another photographer. Thank you so much for your attention prior to the day, on the day and even afterwards - there has never been a single fault in anything you've done - thank you so much. I'm not terribly good at articulating what i'm thinking, but i do hope this email gives you a vague idea of how greatful I am for everything you've done for us I cant wait to see the slideshow!! Lots of love and gratitude
xxx Vicki xxx"

Then on first viewing of their mini slideshow....
"You've had me and my mum both crying - that looks absolutely amazing!! I cant believe it - i'm so overwhelmed by how fantastic that looks, i just cant believe it. Cant wait to show the boys when they get back from shopping (for beer, we havent got them doing womenly things!!)"

And then viewing ALL their images from the wedding...
"We got the photos - they are absolutely brilliant, i cant believe it!! you had me in tears all over again - i dont think i cried this much on the wedding day, maybe i'm just hormonal!! he he he!!"

Even the Mother of the Bride had nice words to say
"Thank you for your efforts on the day, you slotted in with the family at the flat and were onobtrusive during the day's proceedings. I appreciate that it was a long day for you and want to thank you and your partner"

And today after the Bling sessions, I got lovely emails too....

From Audrey & Jim..
"Thanks Nikki, they look great. We're going to go with number 13, although it wasn't easy deciding!"

And Corrina & Nick...
"OH MY GOD they're sooooo fab!!!! We love them all!! We've been bouncing around since we got back and saw them online. So excited! We will def let you know in the next couple of days which photo we'd like framed. We've narrowed it down to two so far, but it was tough! Our wedding photos are going to be so great!! Thank you so much. Was great to see you again and so exciting doing the recce."

Fab!

A "Bling" weekend, part 2 - Corrina & Nick

Next it was the turn of Corrina & Nick, who travelled up from Southampton for the weekend, for some last minute wedding planning before their big day next month.

Now this was a couple that totally hammed it up for the camera!

This wedding is going to be totally fun for me, as it is going to be spread over FOUR venues on the day!! Can't wait guys!

A "Bling" weekend, part 1 - Audrey and Jim

It's a busy weekend, I am meeting FOUR of my couples this weekend!
Today was a "Bling" day, with 2 engagement sessions being held in the lovely Pittencrief Park in Dunfermline, amongst the squirrels!

Audrey & Jim's big day is in June, and today we had a fun time around the Park.

My favourite shot of the day is this one below; I love the old dearie's face..... "Oh look Mavis, in public! How awful!!!" Hee, hee, love it!!
Looking forward to the big day guys!

Serena and Paul's wedding - City Chambers, Dunfermline

I am normally pretty good at getting a wedding blogged the day after the event but on Saturday I could definately feel a cold coming on and by Sunday I was right; now I am coughing up green snot and I feel like I have been hit over the head with a hammer!! The joys!

At least the wedding on Saturday was lovely, the weather was most bizarre; going from hailstones to extreme bright sunshine and everything else in between!

I knew a lot of people at this wedding, after photographed the Chief Bridesmaid's wedding 2 years ago, "Lorna's Flowers" in Hillend provided the colour yet again.....

and how about this for a cool vintage car?

The City Chambers in Dunfermline is one of the bonniest registry offices I have ever been in.

Last weekend's wedding holds the record for having the longest train ever on a bride's dress; this week's record is "MOST NERVOUS BRIDE EVER!" Serena was REALLY nervous, I think she married Paul's feet!

The newlyweds had the sense to make plans for wet weather, and go to the Glasshouses in Pittencrieff Park for their couples session; a totally brilliant idea! They got peace and quiet to talk to each other and relax, Serena's face changed completely during this time, much less nervous!

The flower girls were in danger of stealing the show with their beauty...

But funniest of all was the Page Boy who continued his antics from his mum and dad's wedding to his Auntie's wedding!
Congratulations Serena and Paul!
And many thanks to Roy for coming up from the North of England to assist me with this wedding!

"bump", "baby" & "Bloodline" display at charity event in Dalgety Bay

As well as weddings, I also do social photography; maternity, newborn, baby and child photography, as well as families.

Some of The Play Planet staff in Dalgety Bay are participating in the Moonwalk, a charity event held for a breast cancer charity.

A charity arts n' crafts event is being held on FRIDAY 21ST MARCH 2008 in the Play Planet itself.

I will be doing a display at this charity event, showing some amazing images I have taken from recent portrait sessions.

I will be offering discounted vouchers for portrait sessions, and with every voucher purchased, I will also make a donation to the charity.

So come along to the Play Planet at the Hillend Industrial Estate in Dalgety Bay on Friday 21st March 2008 between 10am and 6pm, and buy a voucher for your next portrait session!

Vicki & Chris' wedding - Melville Castle Edinburgh

Saturday's wedding was freakin' awesome (oh dear I have been around Americans too much recently, I am beginning to sound like them!)

But seriously it was amazing!

When Vicki met me she told me she wanted a fairytale castle wedding; I think her dreams were fulfilled on Saturday when Cindrella married her Prince Charming at Melville Castle just outside Edinburgh.

There were a lot of personal touches to the day, with old and new merging together...and families coming together; nothing like a hug from mum in the morning..................or dad too!! At the Castle, there were some handsome young men about!
And it all came together beautifully for the ceremony................... okay perhaps the Best Man dropping the rings wasn't quite in the agenda................
But surprisingly the weather that Vicki has asked for, came through. It was amazing, considering the tornado-like weather we had the day before! Look at this texture in the sky! And this couple are just so cute together!!
Oh, did I mention that the Michaelangelo dress bought in America had a SIX FOOT TRAIN?!?

Here comes those cute men again...

And the cake.......................... well the cake took the biscuit! Isn't that AMAZING?!
There were some pretty ladies about too!
And how about this for dual purpose bridesmaids?

This was Laura in the morning, having been beautified as Vicki's chief bridesmaid
to this being Absolutely Legless at the evening reception!
Irish dancing started off the evening with a stomp!

Congratulations Vicki and Chris, enjoy your round-the-world trip (I'm not jealous honestly!) and safe journey home to Manchester.

And my thanks go to James for second shooting and assisting me at this wedding, here he is trying to figure out how to work his camera through thought process! ;-)
