NEW WEBSITE!!!

It's up, finally after months of procrastination, Nikki McLeod Photography has a new updated website.

Finally featuring bumps, baby and "Breathless" sessions, the website covers all my photography services.

I have also decided to trial putting full prices on the website for potential clients. But remember if you have already booked me for your wedding, whatever price you booked me is frozen!

And to celebrate, here are some fantastic piccies of my gorgeous son! They have been taken by my good friend Melanie East in Bristol.

I am so excited...

and I just can't hide it! I know, I know I know I know I want A BRAND NEW WEBSITE!!

And it should be coming in the next 24 hours!

Not strictly speaking totally brand new, but mega updated with new photos and much more of a "brochure" type website, rather than just a "store front"!

Watch out!

I am so lucky to have such wonderful clients... {blush}

Today I met up with some of the nicest clients I can possibly have.

Lynn and Anthony came to collect their Albums Australia album; this was just a GORGEOUS wedding and this pair are just so daft about each other!

This is my favourite shot of them both taken at Linlithgow Loch.

I was so happy to hear today that I will needed at the end of the year to shoot some baby shots, when their little one is expected to make an arrival! Congrats Lynn and Anthony! And many thanks for the lovely flowers and card as a Get Well gift, that was so nice of you both.

Then it was the turn of Angela and Phil, who were making a whistlestop tour of Central Scotland! Easter is the time for meeting up with family, and the MacAveetys were up from London to visit family, then come to the studio to pick their Albums Australia album, on the way to St Andrews!

Here is my favourite shot from their day;

Finally I dropped in to see Susan, Iain and the adorable Erin McKelvie to give them their finished album. My son Jack joined us, and proceeded to wreck the McKelvie household, sorry guys! It has been lovely to receive emails and PMs not only from Susan wishing me well after surgery but even her mother sent me them too!

As I said, I am so lucky to have such wonderful clients.................

I survived..............

............but OUCH!! Operation yesterday was a success and I got home today. So back to business, not! Taking a while out to recover.

Wedding 19 booked yesterday too! Lisa is marrying her beau in Florida this summer, I did offer to go photograph the wedding but sadly the offer wasn't taken up! But after seeing the results of their friends Pamela and Darren's wedding Lisa is very keen for me to photograph the resulting UK reception this July, with a contemporary bridal session in the Glen Pavillion beforehand.

Yee haa!

Wedding 18 booked for this year, and a lovely booking; one of my close friends Sally marrying her long term partner Phil.

Sally and I got to know each other through ante-natal classes 2 years ago. On November 22nd 2004, we found ourselves waking up beside each other with new babies having both come out of c section surgery! We also found in the same room, Diane with her twins, another of our ante-natal friends! We three have continued to keep in touch and watch our 4 children grow up together!

And now after a long hard search for photographers (I even went to a fayre with her to help her choose!) Sally has persuaded me not to be a guest at her wedding but capture the day in my style!! Can't wait! Sally is of Chinese origin and has purchased the most beautiful red Chinese dress. And of course her daughter Rosemary will look just as stunning in her little pink outfit!

What a Baaad couple of weeks!

I have really neglected this blog, personal life has been pretty crapola recently; more details about that later!
Kelli and Ewan popped into the studio before returning home to the US. I felt so sorry for them, they had both fallen ill the day after their fabulous wedding at Dalhousie! Their trip to the Highlands wasn't enjoyed as much as it could be. I hoped the wedding photographs cheered them up. I loved shooting this wedding; it was so classy, Kelli was so elegant and so modern and yet so simple. Just shows that you don't need tons of sparkle and jazz for elegance.
This is my favourite photo of Kelli; shows her beautiful curves and the elegant back of the dress (Only got low res copyrighted files on this computer sorry!)

Kelli and Ewan were such a lovely couple and it clearly showed in their photos; I hope they both returned safely to the United States, for a happy (and sickness-free!) start to married life.

I have been working on Susan and Iain's wedding album; they loved their photos so much, they bought them all for their album!! I just ADORED their daughter Erin; she is just a little older than my son Jack but just as cute; infact they would love stunning together! Erin so stole the show; and thanks to Susan and Iain, I am now booked to photograph the bridesmaid Gillian's wedding in Arran in 2008!!

Talking of bookings, I got my first booking for 2007 this month too! Leanne and Allan came to see me a few weeks ago about their Dunfermline wedding in May 2007, and booked me on the spot!

I am always amazed at these couples who are so organised with their weddings; I never expect to get 2007 wedding bookings this early, let alone 2008! I know when Graham and I were planning our wedding, we took just over a year to plan everything. Any time longer and I think we would have been divorced before we were married!

I have been busy with baby sessions recently; I had the followup to the Bump session end of last year of the V family; the bump developed into a gorgeous little girl! As stunning as her mother, and as cute as her older brother! I also had Jacob come to the studio for a session, what a cutie! Both familes will be receiving their CDs for viewing this week, I shall post a teaser from each after that.

Today I met up with David and Jacqueline who are getting married in 3 weeks time at Kilconquhar Castle. All the paperwork was gone over, timings checked, monies paid. All exciting, the buildup to a wedding and I know that David and Jacqui will have a stunning wedding.

Plans have been set for me to be accompanied by a second shooter if need be for David and Jacqui's wedding, thanks to the news I got recently that the results of an MRI scan on my legs showed the possibility of a tumour............................ Surgery this Thursday and therefore I shall be resting after that, so no portrait sessions and I hope to be fit enough for David and Jacqui's wedding on my own. If not, I know I have the backup of many photographers throughout the UK who have kindly offered to help. What a great profession to be in, where your competitors can help you in heartbeat..........
