Louise & Shaun - Lourdes Church, Dunfermline & Balgeddie House - part one

Last October, I thought I photographed the wettest wedding ever in my career.....

I think I now have the new reigning champion in that score....

Louise and Shaun probably thought May would be a good month to get married in, usually it is. Last two Mays have been fantastic.

I arrived at their house in buckets of rain, I had to get the brolly out to run from car to house, thats how bad it was..

No fear, inside it was a haven of beauty and wedding-ness! I loved how there was chaos throughout the house, there were girls here, there and everywhere...... and meanwhile the cat sat on the upper landing, guarding the dress, fast asleep....
I make NO apologies for the amount of shots I took of this stunning little flower girl.
Who could resist this face?
She was even putting on her "lipstick" while Louise got into her dress....

Moving on.....

We all move on in life, there are so many changes, small and large that we can make in our daily life, to better ourselves, our lifestyles and our businesses.

Today has been such a day, not only for myself, but for some clients of mine who have over the years become fantastic friends as well as loyal clients.

Ursula has always been an iconic part of NMP, or rather her bum has been an iconic part of NMP! The cheeky (no pun intended!)shot I of it on a Cyprus beach many years ago has booked me many a wedding!

Since the wedding, I met Andrew in his many forms of his first life, as a bump, newborn, 6 month old and then his first birthday, as part of a "bump to baby" package. And as quick as lighting, Andrew celebrated his 2nd birthday last week.

Today he and his family step onto a plane for an adventure of a lifetime. As I write this, they will be flying over the UK for the last time, on their way to a new life in Australia.

Infact, I got a text from them as they boarded, just at the same time I was dotting the "i"s and crossing the "t" on my new life changing venture for NMP.

On days like this, when you alternate between excitement and feeling sick, happiness and sadness, you can only think to the future and think it will all be worth it.................... Best of luck guys.

And for my new venture........ watch this space......... :-)

Jennifer & Jim - part seven

Love this veil shot; any long term reader of this blog will KNOW I love long veils! Jen did a fantastic bouquet throw from the front steps of Balbirnie, I believe the lovely lass that caught it, IS actually the next to be married out of their group!
The wedding breakfast for this wedding was held in the Orangery.

I adore, adore, adore, adore, ADORE this image of Jen just before she left the Library for the wedding breakfast, with her new husband.

Jennifer & Jim - part six

I loved the formals from this wedding, they worked really well. I cannot remember what was said by me, or the bride at this point but it made a great photo!
Then it was onto my favourite time of the day; the couples session, the time for the newlyweds to enjoy each other's company while I get some amazing shots.
This wedding was a very classy affair, I was loving Jen's detail to attention in her attire, and I just loved Jim's dapper suit and shoes.

Jennifer & Jim - part five

Don't you just love the moments between children and their parents, just after a child gets married? The video production was performed by Watch the Birdie from St Andrews; considering the amount of times I have shot in St Andrews recently, this was the first time I had shot with this company!
Immediately after the ceremony, the newlyweds greeted their guests on the steps of Balbirnie.
But it did start to rain during this time!
But the crowd managed to stay dry in time for the requested group shot on the steps, and the confetti shot which always looks brilliant at Balbirnie!

Jennifer & Jim - part four

Jen was at risk from being taken over on the beauty stakes by her stunning bridesmaids. But as she glided down the stairs of Balbirnie House, she was the gal of the day.
A kiss for Dad at the top of the Long Gallery....
And the reading by her bridesmaid had us all in tears!
The humanist ceremony was beautifully led as always by Gillian Stewart. But you can tell that Jen wasn't entirely sure that Gillian's "tying the knot" would work.... it did!

Jennifer & Jim - part three

The wind caused a laugh before the ceremony with Jim's mum's hat taking a swish across the garden! Meanwhile upstairs, the stunning bride was taking a minute or two to herself...
She was much happier after the ceremony!

Jennifer & Jim - part two

Jim made a striking change from the norm for my grooms, in a smart suit, and dapper shoes. His Best Man and himself had some fun before the ceremony.

Jennifer & Jim - Balbirnie House - part one

Got a lot of blogging to catch up on!

Over the next couple of days I will blog some amazing photos from Jennifer & Jim's wedding held recently at Balbirnie.

The weather wasn't kind enough to let them have an outdoor ceremony but we still managed to get outside for some shots.

There was lots of lovely details.
