Fiona and Martin's wedding

Wow, what a blast the past 3 weeks have been! So many stories to tell and photos to show and I tried to blog while in Calfornia but I wasn't able to get photos uploaded and that's the most inportant part, so left it until I came home!

But before I go on about my trip, I have to go back to Scotland for the first blogging; Fiona and Martin's fabulous wedding at Orocco Pier in South Queensferry. Fiona knew me and my style of wedding photography, having been the bridesmaid to Gail and Derek's wedding last year. And this wedding was just as classy and fun!

And the gorgeous bride before we all left to attempt the trip over the Forth Road Bridge during the roadworks, and surprisingly we made it over in 20 minutes and were early!!!
The weather was amazing for Scotland in October. The beach just had to be used to it's full advantage, but I don't think the bride realised how difficult it is to walk in sand in high heels, when she had the vision of photos on the beach We took a walk along the Pier, giving the newlyweds some much needed time alone.

And the speeches were hilarious! So many different expresssions!What fun, and I am sure the resulting album Fiona and Martin have picked will show their wedding day in all it's glory!
Right, off to bed; 2 sessions tomorrow and a lotta lotta post processing too.

Signing out for 3 weeks!

Actually not true, as no doubt I shall be finding net access in our hotels on the laptops etc, but just to let everyone know that I shall not be in the country over the next 3 weeks. I am in for a super exciting time!

I am off to Vancouver for a Bebbinar; the fantastic Bebbs are holding their first seminar in their brand new North Vancouver studio and I signed up for it straight away. Jen and Steve are totally influencial photographers, not surprisingly, been voted in the top 10 wedding studio by American Photo. It will be great fun to finally meet them and learn from them.

Then it's a trip down to California, to do various things but the big thing for me down there is meeting Jessica Claire! Anybody that knows me, knows that Jessica is my ultimate favourite photographer in the world; her vibrant weddings always inspire me, and her portraits are lovely too! I am going to see what magic she does with Jack, and see if any of her magic rubs off on me!

Finally before heading home, we are making a trip to the West Coast of Vancouver Island, one place I have been wanting to visit for years.

Aliya Rose/ Hitched Fife Meet

I met my husband through the internet in 1997; infact almost ten years ago to the day!! My family thought I was crazy to meet a stranger from the internet; ten years on they kinda like him!!

These days meeting people through the net is not that strange, especially through internet forums where people with similar interests chat online.

I have been a member of the wedding forum Hitched since I was getting Hitched. And I have made some lovely friends in real life from this forum, mainly the Fife girls, three of which have gone onto open a gorgeous bridal shop in Cupar Aliya Rose.

Last week on the forum, there was a thread which involves the AR girls talking about how 2 of the 3 of them have never been in a limo before!! Forward several weeks, and it became a Aliya Rose/Hitched Fife meet with a "Back Again" session by Nikki McLeod, involving 7 wedding dresses and a kinda famous photographer!!
