Anita & Grant's wedding, Barcaldine Castle, Oban - part twelve

After the meal, I pulled the newlyweds outside as the light was so beautiful over Loch Creran. But soon they joined their guests for some more dancing and moments together.

It was a wonderful day, and certainly a wedding I won't forget.

But this wasn't the last I was to see of Anita.......

Anita & Grant's wedding, Barcaldine Castle, Oban - part ten

Details were recorded as the speeches were being prepared. And boy, awesome speeches. Granted, half of us hadn't a CLUE what was being said by the Father of the Bride as his whole speech was in German. But the love for his daughter was inevitable, and it had us ALL in tears (thank goodness for auto-focus!).

Grant also did an amazing job and kept the tears flowing with his bilingual speech.

Anita & Grant's wedding, Barcaldine Castle, Oban - part nine

The Great Hall had been transformed into a wonderful wedding breakfast venue, with a long table beautifully decorated with personal touches from the bride herself.  Before the meal, Anita had organised the piper to play while local lassies showed us their Highland Dancing skills.

Anita & Grant's wedding, Barcaldine Castle, Oban - part eight

Next we had planned to go to Tralee Beach, the weather was looking ominous and the clouds got thicker and thicker as we went on. But fortunately the only time we needed to use the red heart-shaped umbrella Anita had bought, was for the images! Then we went round to Loch Creran before shooting back to the castle, and admiring the bluebells around the Castle drive.
