This 13th century castle is one of the oldest stone castle in Scotland.

In the grounds of the castle, there is this hidden chapel in the woods, it was a magical place......

 A last look at the Connel Bridge, and then it was time to go home.........

Before I set off home, I made a visit to Dunstaffnage Castle, just outside Oban.  Dunstaffnage is a partial ruin, owned by Historic Scotland, and boy did I see it on a right wet day...!!
