It was lovely to see brides trying on dresses; even better when the dress was THE one! I loved how Kirsty & Liz could pick a dress off the rack that a girl had dismissed earlier, and find that it is THE one for them!

The AR girls were lucky to get some amazing donations for the goody bags, from wonderful bridal suppliers around the UK.

Starstruck Designs donated beautiful earrings.
Brides were given free copies of the Scottish Wedding Directory and Wedding Ideas, and pretty bridesmaids cards from Angelfins.
Diamond Star Halo also donated lovely jewellery, which was also on display.
Morven Studios provided the most amazing cupcakes and cookies.
and The Good Cake Company provided fresh strawberry cupcakes for everyone to eat on the day.

Aliya Rose BCC Strawberry Tea Weekend success!

I was really fortunate to be part of the Breast Cancer Care Strawberry Tea Weekend, held at Aliya Rose Bridal shop in Cupar this past weekend. The girls of Aliya Rose are long term friends of mine, and I am over the moon with the success that has come to them, through their hard work, and high standards in customer service.

When I heard they were doing a charity weekend for BCC, I could only but offer to help, and happily attended the shop the whole weekend to take images of the event.


I have to admit............. I did sample the AMAZING freshly made Strawberry cupcakes made by the Really Good Cake Company; yes they did taste as good as they looked!
Dress samples from Benjamin Roberts and Blue by Enzoani were shipped in specifically for the weekend; so many beautiful dresses.

"Aliya Rose" Strawberry Tea - with NMP!

Fife-based bridal boutique Aliya Rose is hosting a Strawberry Tea Weekend in aid of Breast Cancer Care on August 21st (9am-5pm) and 22nd (11am-4pm) at its Cupar shop.

The ladies will be serving tea and strawberry treats and the bridal boutique will also be making a donation to the charity for every gown sold; £50 for every bridal gown and £10 for every bridesmaid dress.

Brides who buy a gown on the day will also receive a goody bag worth around £250 (which includes a copy of the brand new Scottish Wedding Directory Autumn/Winter 2010 issue), as well as some great offers from Nikki McLeod Photography.

For your Scottish wedding photography needs, Nikki McLeod Photography is super excited to be part of this weekend, I will be there on both days, taking overall images of the day. Also, for a donation to BCC, I will happily take Facebook-ready images of any of the brides, bridesmaids, even Mothers of the Brides! Whether it be a simple headshot, or you in your ideal wedding dress, a Facebook-ready image will be emailed to you within a couple of days of the Weekend, which you can use in your Facebook profile!

There will also be a FREE prize draw for a complimentary "breathless" by NMP session, worth £150! After all, breasts are best- why not show them off in a beautiful "breathless" session! Excellent timing, as the new revamped "breathless" launches this week!


Bridal dress appointments aren't necessary but time slots can be reserved.
