And then it was time for the speeches

Sara had a particularly pretty flower-girl.
The cake was ready to be cut inside.
By this time, the rain was back on again.
Then it was down to the Treehouse for a quiet couples session, where the rain threatened to appear again....

After signing the register inside, the bride and groom came back downstairs to greet their guests.
And would you believe, just minutes later, we had blue skies and fluffy white clouds...
I had competition on the day!
So what was wrong with the weather..... well the couple had planned an outdoor ceremony, in the castle gardens. In August, you would think that would be fine.....
The piper awaited the (short) arrival of the bride!
We finally decided to let her out of the car, and get married!
I think she was a bit nervous....

All family members had a "rawking" time on the dancefloor!
All too soon, it was my scheduled time to leave this wonderful day...... but nah, I sneaked the newlyweds outside for some fresh air and some final shots.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day with Nat and Daryl, they truely are a wonderful couple and it was a pleasure to photograph their special day. I can't wait to make this wedding a sample album for the studio!

I always like a bride that stands up and speaks at her own wedding, I did it myself.
And how's this for a place to cut the cake? Amazing.
The newlyweds adorable little boy Ethan.
Then it was onto the heartfelt and funny speeches.
I got the impression that Daryl is not a Rangers fan!
After the ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed some P&Q time during their couples session on Arthurs Seat. I love the post processing I have done on these two images.
All too soon it was back to Mansfield to enjoy time with their families and photograph their requested formals and a quick session around Mansfield itself.

though I don't think he was too keen on the idea to begin with.....
he soon cheered up!
