Sneak peek - Chloe & Miriam's wedding, Lodge on Loch Goil, Lochgoilhead

After blogging every single day all of January and half of February, I went on a little blogging hiatus, having some photography learning in London and Vegas.

Straight back to work after the learning though, I went up to the Highlands for Chloe & Miriam's civil partnership at Lochgoilhead. Sneek peak here!

DWFC 2011, San Antonio Texas

I was in Texas for a photography convention, one I have attended for 4 years in a row now. Excellent training to better my business, photo shoots to practice & learn from others and lots of partying and fun with state-side friends I only get to see once a year.

Here are some images from a model shoot I did one day with forum friends. It was SO sunny and warm, it was the only warm day we were there, so lucky.

Texas!

Having a little break from weddings just now; back to normal in a couple of days!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the great opportunity to go to Texas for a photography convention. I flew into Dallas first, amongst the crazy things I did there including an excellent Dallas Stars game, was a visit to Southfork Ranch - yes the original home of the tv series "Dallas"!

Those not born in the 70's and 80's or before might not know what I am on about, those that were will know exactly what I am on about!
It was interesting to hear all the stories of behind the scenes and seeing the actual ranch, which is much smaller than it looked on the tv when I was a teenager!
That infamous pool that they were always jumping in, apparently because it was always 100 degree heat when they were filming in the summer. It certainly wasn't that warm in January!
Dallas is a really cool city.


Dallas is where JFK was shot....

I moved onto San Antonio for a photography convention and the weather was better there!

Less than a minutes drive from the Play Planet, the new NMP/Blast Off Portraits studio is based within the same building as Bay Printing. With a bigger studio, natural light for beautiful portraits of the adults and no soft play to distract the children, it is a fantastic move on up for NMP & Blast Off!

All too soon it was time for the cake cutting, and there were some lovely personal touches here too!

We were SO lucky with the weather.
