Marie & Dave's wedding, Kirk of Calder & Queensferry Hotel - part six
We quickly got through a big list of group formals out on the lawn. The young bridesmaids were being ultra cute.
The Queensferry hotel has a great outlook onto the Forth Bridges.
I am led to believe that the groom had a hand in the table decorations; one up for the boys on that one Dave!
A traditional receiving line into the meal.

Marie & Dave's wedding, Kirk of Calder & Queensferry Hotel - part five
On our way to the Queensferry Hotel in North Queensferry, we stopped at the pier in the village, where we tried not to get blown into the River Forth by the strong winds.

Marie & Dave's wedding, Kirk of Calder & Queensferry Hotel - part four
While we waited on the guests exiting the church, I stole the newly-weds back into the church for a quick shot or two.
.........before they exited to a flurry of confetti!
I think I know this couple from somewhere....
And this couple were pretty good looking too!

Marie & Dave's wedding, Kirk of Calder & Queensferry Hotel - part three
The bride arrived in some pretty swanky vintage transportation.
While the girls were getting their images taken, they showed me their stunning red rose bouquets from Mums Flowers in East Calder.
While this young lad was being ultra cute amongst the girls!
The bride walked in with her father, I don't know who had the biggest smile!
The Kirk of Calder is such an amazing venue, with lots of amazing natural light.
The newlyweds departed the church to the tones of Heather the piper into the bright sunlight.

Marie & Dave's wedding, Kirk of Calder & Queensferry Hotel - part two
I had organised for the boys to have their photos taken before the ceremony and it was a fun time!
Even Mum got a cuddle from her boy!
It was SO lovely to see the apple blossom in full bloom around the church.

Marie & Dave's wedding, Kirk of Calder & Queensferry Hotel - part one
As Nikki McLeod Photography, I am honoured to photograph any wedding. And every wedding comes with it's own stresses and strains. Like photographing the wedding of a family member; that's pretty stressful!
That's what happened one spring morning, when I was commissioned to photograph Marie & Dave's wedding. Marie is my sister-in-law's niece, infant Marie and I were bridesmaids together many years ago at my brother's wedding!
This time Marie was the bride, and the venue for the ceremony was the stunning Kirk Of Calder at Mid Calder.
After my detail shots, I found the boys walking up from the pub!

Sara & Richard's wedding, Fingask Castle - part nine
As the sun set over the castle....
it was time to boogie!
Love this sequence of the bride spinning the groom....
Ceilidh dancing, and this crowd knew how to do it!
As I left Fingask, I saw the marquee lit up the dark spring night, and the party was still in full swing!
Congratulations Sara & Richard, your day was fun-filled and full of laughter. Another good 'un for Nikki McLeod Photography!
