I know, I have totally neglected this blog this past month!!!I couldn't believe how busy I have been since returning from Tampa, (which also needs blogged about!). January is normally the quiet time of year for weddings which was true for me actually shooting them but certainly not for working! I have done so much marketing since coming back from the convention, working on new sample albums, new price lists for wedding and boudoir, and new marketing materials.
Then also I have been meeting old and new clients!
New clients = bookings; I booked 5 weddings in 2 weeks! And so many different places for me this year! I also booked more "Breathless" sessions as well as starting to get bookings for the first 2008 "Breathless" Marathon, which is in Glasgow in April.
Old clients = "Bling" sessions, "Baby" sessions, recces etc.
Before a wedding, I always touch base with my wedding clients; especially as some couples book me 1 to 2 years in advance! Once the final paperwork is back, I either meet up with them at their venues if I haven't already seen them before, or meet them at the studio, or have a telephone recce to discuss last minute details.
What a lot of couples tend to do when they have picked a package that includes a pre wedding "Bling" session, is to come to the studio for a chat about their wedding and then we go and shoot the "Bling"! This is what happened with Chris and Vicki when they came up from Manchester for the weekend.
Vicki and Chris are getting married in just a few weeks time, at the stunning Melville Castle near Edinburgh. I have known this couple a while now and it is like greeting old friends, they are just wonderful people! And talk about being so in love! Vicki warned me that Chris doesn't like getting his photo taken. Well, after this session, I realised that as long as he has Vicki to cuddle and squeeze and say naughty things into her ear, then there isn't a problem!!!!!
I can't wait for the turn of the month for this wedding, the first of the year!

The City Chambers in Dunfermline is one of the bonniest registry offices I have ever been in.
The newlyweds had the sense to make plans for wet weather, and go to the Glasshouses in Pittencrieff Park for their couples session; a totally brilliant idea! They got peace and quiet to talk to each other and relax, Serena's face changed completely during this time, much less nervous!
The flower girls were in danger of stealing the show with their beauty...
But funniest of all was the Page Boy who continued his antics from his mum and dad's wedding to his Auntie's wedding!

As well as weddings, I also do social photography; maternity, newborn, baby and child photography, as well as families. 
and families coming together; nothing like a hug from mum in the morning..................
or dad too!!
At the Castle, there were some handsome young men about!
And it all came together beautifully for the ceremony................... okay perhaps the Best Man dropping the rings wasn't quite in the agenda................
But surprisingly the weather that Vicki has asked for, came through. It was amazing, considering the tornado-like weather we had the day before! Look at this texture in the sky!
And this couple are just so cute together!!
Oh, did I mention that the Michaelangelo dress bought in America had a SIX FOOT TRAIN?!?
Here comes those cute men again...
And the cake.......................... well the cake took the biscuit! Isn't that AMAZING?!
