"Hi Nikki,
We just wanted to send a wee message to thank you for all of your effort and hard work on Saturday.
Both Anthony and I have said you were a pleasure to work with and we would have been happy to spend even more time with you as you made it so much fun!
We can't believe its actually us in those sneak peek photos and we really can't wait to see the rest.
Please thank Bev for us too. She would make the perfect Bridesmaid!
See you when we get back from Florida!"

Ashley & Gordon's wedding, Kinross Parish & Forrester Park Golf Resort - part two
Down at the church, the children were continuing to be cute as anything!
Meanwhile Ash fought with the wind and her veil!
She eventually won!
Ash was all smiles....
though the tears fell as she realised what was about to happen!

Ashley & Gordon's wedding, Kinross Parish & Forrester Park Golf Resort - part one
Ashley & Gordon's wedding was always going to be a special one for me. Ash and I go back a long way; in fact Ash has my old job! As well as a successful business woman herself, she is also Head Nurse at Alphavet Veterinary Surgery in Kinross, a position I held in 1995 for a couple of years, under the wonderful supervision of the late Tom Wilson. This wedding threw up some familiar faces to me and the relaxed enjoyment of the day helped everyone have a great time.
I started at the Mother of the Bride's home....
And immediately I was taken over by gorgeous children!

Ash had a stunning dress by Sincerity, bought from Elite; I loved the little details in it.
And after all the rush and hussle of a normal wedding morning, we finally had Ash ready for some portraits and boy she knew how to work it in front of the camera!

Kim & Lee's wedding, Kings Lynn, Norfolk - part three
Lee's son was the ring bearer
and Kimmy laughed her way through the short regisry ceremony!
Found the positioning of this sign rather amusing, seeming as they are married now!

Kim & Lee's wedding, Kings Lynn, Norfolk - part two
We were SO lucky with the weather that morning, the sun shone, the sky was blue with lovely fluffy white clouds and as we took these images before the ceremony, this area was quiet to begin with; it's quite popular with wedding couples and before we left, they started a-coming! Not before we got cracking shots like this!
Another shot of the shoes, Kim pretty much didn't put them back on after this shot; they look good but they don't wear easy!

Kim & Lee's wedding, Kings Lynn, Norfolk - part one
At last, time to get back to blogging some weddings!
Having decided they couldn't afford a professional wedding photographer, Kim & Lee put together a small budget for one, but couldn't find what they wanted. They ended up tripling their small budget and booked me to travel from Fife to Norfolk for their wedding! What an honour!
The morning started with animals and children; who says you don't work with either!!
To begin with, my job as the wedding photographer was put to one side when Kim found herself all alone at the getting ready stage, and a corset that needed someone to help her into!! Eventually help turned up and I got back to the job in hand! And what a dress it was; a beautiful hand made corsetted PURPLE dress! My kinda colour!

I am glad I took this shot, let's just say these shoes weren't worn very much over the day!
Due to the time restraints of travelling for me, it was mutually decided to do the couples session of the day BEFORE the ceremony; after all the couple did eventually get ready together. So it was wonderful to spend some quality time with the two of them and Lee's young son was an excellent assistant for me! Kings Lynn provides such historical buildings to shoot against!

We've been broken....
Looks like we're a bit bashed and bruised......
Physically I'm recovering from a bad bout of flu this week, so haven't had the energy to do anything.
Then I have just found out today that my nikki@nikkimcleodphotography.com email hasn't been working. It is now, so you have had an email bounce back, we are both working now!

I'M BAAAACK!!
Back from a much needed break (with a little job thrown in the middle of the break!) and ready to rock and roll for the pre Christmas portraits at "Blast Off"!
Here's a sneak peak of two of the three weddings I have shot recently!
Kandyce & Dan's wedding in Langley, Vancouver, Canada
Ashley & Gordon's wedding - Kinross Parish Church & Forrester Park Golf Resort (with a trip to the horses on the way!)

Back to regular blogness tomorrow!Tuesday, September 01, 2009
Sara & Brian's wedding, Fernie Castle - part six
The speeches were short but sweet!

And some last-minute requested informals brought the day to a close for me, though I think the party was just about to start for the newlyweds!
I finished off with some bouquet details shots.
A fantastic day, thanks for letting me join in the fun guys!

And this was one cutey guest!
Many thanks to Kim and Lee for getting me all the way down to Norfolk for their lovely wedding!
We finished off the couples session at the registry office; cobbled streets, thatched roofs so typically English!
Kim's flowers were gorgeous!
